PRECEPTOR PROGRAM

Preceptors serve as role models in terms of knowledge, clinical proficiency and professionalism. They assist the ACA to acquire knowledge, skill and judgment in the clinical environment. The preceptor is a:
1. Clinical resource/role model/mentor
2. Educator
3. Liaison
4. Supervisor
5. Evaluator
The preceptor manual contains a variety of documents that support this role, including a curriculum synopsis, evaluation forms, job descriptions, and supporting documents about feedback and evaluation.
