Although my work is not exactly in the field of epigenetics, the work on High Mobility Group A proteins will likely qualify since these HMGA molecules bend chromatin and act as promoter enhancers. For the most part, we are interested in discovering the protein networks the oncofetal HMGA2 is associated with in cancer cells, and here it’s particularly the DNA repair and telomere-associated functions my lab is focusing on right now.
