Research Interests:

My research focuses on the identification of new and emerging organic contaminants and the development of tools that facilitate the identification and prioritization of such chemicals using high-resolution mass spectrometry techniques.
In the current project I am studying the Canadian Arctic environment (Hudson Bay area) and am particularly interested in the distribution of chemicals over time and space. Different environmental compartments (water, sediment and biota) will be the focus of my studies. The overall aim is an analysis of which chemicals are ubiquitous and which are unique to which compartments including an analysis of which chemicals’ concentrations increase over time.
