The purpose of this event is to promote the research and scholarly activities of graduate students in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba. Graduate Students will have the opportunity to present and discuss their work in an academic forum.

Who may apply to present?

Any  student currently enrolled in a graduate program or who has graduated in October 2018 or later.

What topics will be considered?

Topics that relate to education will be considered. Papers discussing issues and trends, “big picture” ideas, critical insights into theoretical matters
or evaluations of policy will be considered. This could include papers addressed in coursework, candidacy exams, and research
related to thesis or dissertation work.

What needs to be covered in the proposal?

The attached form outlines the requirements for proposals and presentation
options.


How will the proposals be reviewed?

The organizing committee will review the proposals.

Acceptance will be based on scholarly merit; and clarity of research objectives, methods and proposed/established conclusions. Everyone who submits a
proposal will be notified of their status by Feb. 3.
