    The winnipeg international story telling workshop took place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June1-3, 2006 .

English-Ukrainian Bilingual Program


    Manitoba Parents for Ukrainain Education sponsored a three day on campus program for some 1000 grade 6 level students from across Manitoba. The Centre for Ukrainain Canadian Studies (Dr. Denis Hlynka and Ms. Shirley Klymasz) presented the opening afternoon sessions to the group.

Concert celebrating the 25 year anniversary of the CUCS


    Celebratory Concert for the Centres 25 year anniversary was held at St. John's College Chapel on March 26 at 2 PM.

Book Launch


    The Centre's new book The Honourable Member for Vegreville, edited by Dr. Oleh Gerus and Dr. Denis Hlynka, launched at McNally Robinson Bookstore in Winnipeg. The book also made the top ten bestseller list of trade paper books in the Free Press on February 5, 2006 and February 12, 2006.
