The Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies at the University of Manitoba exists to create, preserve and communciate knowledge dealing with Ukrainian Canadiana.

In keeping with this mission, this section of the Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies website is provided as a source of general online information dealing with Ukrainian Canadian culture and scholarship. For the general public, the site will, when completed, provide comprehensive information on various dimensions of Ukrainian Canadiana.

For the scholar and researcher, it is hoped that this site will provide some direction to work being done in this area. At this stage, these pages represent a "work in progress" and by no means provide a complete picture.

The site as envisioned will provide general information on the history of Ukrainian Canadians, will include a section on significant selected "iconic" figures in Ukrainian Canadian culture, and will be a gateway to other relevant sites. Whenever a new section is added, we will be asking ourselves the guiding question "What is Ukrainian Canadian about this?"
