Jessica CameronProfessor Jessica Cameron is the 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Professor Award. She has been recognized for her exemplary achievement in the three domains of her appointment in the Faculty of Arts -- her commitment to teaching, research, and service.

Professor Cameron's research reputation is internationally recognized, and has yielded recognition globally in the areas of research on self-esteem, gender, and social relationships. One piece of evidence of Professor Cameron's extraordinary commitment in the area of research comes in the form of her Rh Award for exceptional innovation, leadership, and promise in the Social Sciences, which is just one of many awards for an incredible research dossier.

Professor Cameron has also received many accolades in way of her teaching responsibility to the Faculty, in the form of superb course evaluations and letters of support from colleagues and students. She continues to mentor students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, who benefit immensely from her involvement in their education.

Professor Cameron provides an excellent model for members of the Faculty of Arts to the benefit of the community, research, and teaching goals of both the Faculty and our institution.
