Civil Engineering Program

Civil Engineering students are required to take five technical elective courses. Please note that technical elective courses offered vary from year to year and may have limited enrolment. Students are encouraged to discuss their program with members of the academic staff to obtain advice regarding the best choice of electives for their needs.

Technical Elective Courses (5 required)
A minimum of 3 and up to 5 technical elective courses must be taken from Group A. Up to 2 technical elective courses may be taken from Group B, with no more than one course from outside the Department of Civil Engineering.

Environmental Option Program

Civil Engineering students pursuing the Environmental Option are required to take five technical elective courses from the Environmental Technical Elective Lists. Students are encouraged to discuss their program with members of the environmental academic staff to obtain advice regarding the best choice of electives for their needs.

Technical Elective Courses (5 required)
A minimum of 3 and up to 5 technical elective courses must be taken from Group A. Up to 2 technical elective courses may be taken from Group B, with no more than one course from outside the Department of Civil Engineering.

Student pursing the Environmental Option must choose from the Environmental Technical Elective list and must take PHIL 2750 as their complementary elective.
