Move Mail Marked as Junk Back to Your Inbox Using Entourage 2008

Occasionally valid messages are inadvertently sent into the your Junk Mail folder. There are two reasons why this could happen; there might be a "trigger" word in the title of the document (e.g., Viagra), or the e-mail is sent to hundreds of different people.

You can mark a valid message, as Not Junk and it will move back into your mailbox. In Entourage 2008 you can first mark the mail as Not Junk and then set the sender's domain as safe in your Entourage software.

IMPORTANT: Check your Junk Mail folder daily to make sure you do not miss any valid messages.

Note: Entourage 2008 can not mark a as being safe. It can only make the domain safe. If you wish to add a person to a Safe Sender's list use Outlook Web Access (OWA) on either the Premium or Light versions.

Mark an E-mail as Not Junk

1. Open Entourage and click on your Junk E-Mail folder.

2. Review the messages in the folder. If you see a message that is not junk click once on the message to select it.

3. You can right-click the message and select Mark as Not Junk or click the Not Junk green folder at the top of the window.

4. Once you have identified the message as "not junk," Entourage opens a window to have you decide what kind of protection you wish to allow for this person; in this case adding the sender to your Address Book. The message is then placed back into you Inbox.

5. Once you have identified the message as "not junk" the message moves back into your inbox. Be sure to notice the date the e-mail was received (Date Received) to help you find it once the message returns to your inbox.

Set a Domain as a Safe Sender

1. Open Entourage and click Tools then Junk E-Mail Protection.

2. Click the Safe Domains tab.

3. Click in the Safe Domains field and enter the domain (information after the @ for example
