Social Media Expert Diana Owen at the Free Press Cafe

Diana Owen, an expert on the use of digital and social media in U.S. elections, will be in the Free Press News Café next Wednesday, July 18 at 10 a.m. for a discussion with political columnist Dan Lett.

Lett and Owen will chat about the coming U.S. presidential election and how candidates are using social media in their campaigns.

Owen is an Associate Professor of Political Studies and Director of American Studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. who has extensively studied the Internet and social media's effect in U.S. elections.

The public is invited to come to the News Café at 237 McDermot Ave. and take part in the discussion.
