What We Do
The Manitoba Institute for Policy Research based in the department of Political Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Manitoba serves as a hub for academic analysis, public policy discourse, and outreach. We bring policy topics and issues to the public in a manner that is accessible to students, academics and the community at large. The MIPR collaborates with academics from various disciplines to incorporate an interdisciplinary perspective in all endeavours.

By bringing together government, practitioners, scholars and members of the community, the Manitoba Institute for Policy Research furthers debates and discussion on matters of policy development, administration, and analysis both in Manitoba and across the country. Currently, we are working with the Government of Manitoba, the Federal Government, the United Way of Winnipeg, and other voluntary sector agencies on developing and implementing new outreach, training, and research opportunities.
