Jeanette Lynes

Jeanette Lynes has published half a dozen collections of her poetry, including It's Hard Being Queen: The Dusty Springfield Poems (Freehand Books, 2008) and, most recently, The New Blue Distance (Wolsak & Wynn, 2009).  A co-authored chapbook with Alison Calder came out under the Jack Pine Books imprint in December 2007.  Jeanette Lynes's work has been featured in several anthologies, and she has edited several more.  The Factory Voice (Coteau Books, 2009) is her first published work of fiction.

She has served in writer-in-residence positions in Saskatoon and Dawson Creek, BC.  She holds a PhD in English from York University and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Maine.  Jeanette spent six years working in Thunder Bay before taking her current position as an English professor at St. Francis Xavier University.
