Irene Merie

A community leader with international business experience, Irene oversees all aspects of The James W. Burns Executive Education Centre. An entrepreneur at heart, she owned and operated a technology company that served as a registered supplier to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, providing training and consulting services in over 18 Countries worldwide.

Irene also served as Interim National CEO for the Canadian Mental Health Association; Business Development Executive for EY Winnipeg (formerly Ernst & Young); and CEO of Partners in the Park.

In addition to her ICD.D designation, Irene holds a Certificate in Management from the University of Manitoba and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from The Schulich School of Business.

In a March, 2001 issue of Readers Digest; Irene was featured as 1 of 5 Canadian Entrepreneurs who “Dared to Dream”.
