“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,

for going out, I found, was really going in.”

The 2015 Atmosphere Symposium invites photography submissions exploring ideas of emergence in relation to any of the following themes: theories of emergence, designing emergence, human / non-human intersections, emerging situations and affects, deliberately unstable, beauty and generosity. These themes are further elaborated at http://umanitoba.ca/architecture/atmosphere/2015/(s)theories.html. The following photographers may provide inspiration: Edward Burtynsky, Harry Callahan, Aaron Siskind, and Wolfgang Tillmans amongst many others. Can emergence be composed in an image or is it all a product of emergence? We look forward to viewing your interpretations.
