Poor air quality can affect the comfort of staff and students in the University facilities. We can investigate and assess comfort factors such as temperature and humidity, in addition to assessing the effectiveness of the ventilation system.
Mold Remediation & Control
Under certain conditions, mold can pose a health hazard to susceptible individuals. If your work area has experience a water leak or flood, please contact Physical Plant immediately to have the water source stopped and fixed. We can answer concerns regarding exposures and potential health effects of mold, and can provide exposure assessments and recommendations for control measures. This program assists the University in complying with Provincial Regulations to control noise exposures. We can provide exposure assessments and assess potential health effects, and provide recommendations for control measures.
Staff who are required to wear a respirator for their work are required to fill out a respirator user screening form and be assessed by the Occupational Health Coordinator prior to participating in a mandatory fit test.
