Cyclical Motion: Indigenous Art & Placemaking is an initiative intended to affect the physical environment of the Fort Garry campus by making Indigenous arts, cultures, and languages more prominent and visible. Undertaken in two phases by a team of Indigenous artists from Winnipeg, the project explores themes related to transportation, movement, connections to land and water, Indigenous student experiences, language reclamation and reconciliation, and Indigenous advocacy and activism.

We invite you to explore these themes and the various artworks here on this website, and in person at the various installation sites around the Fort Garry campus.
