Transiting to the Faculty of Arts or Science

For students seeking an Arts or Science degree, transiting to the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science is processed through Aurora Student. Students who meet the credit hour and GPA requirements will be able to transit after winter term grades have been posted but before registering for Fall/Winter 2011 classes.

If you have applied to another target faculty (i.e. Business) you should not transit to Arts or Science until you know whether you have been admitted to your target faculty. If in doubt, please contact University 1.

To transit to Arts or Science, log-in to your Aurora Student account, then click Enrolment and Academic Records; click Declarations, then Transit from University 1.

Transits to the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science may be completed up to the day of registration. To transit after registering, students must contact the University 1 Student Help Centre or the intended faculty for assistance.

Students may not transit after the end of the Registration Revision Period if they have registered for courses in Fall/Winter 2010/11. Students planning to begin classes in January 2011 may transit to the Faculty of Arts or Science after the end of the September Registration Revision Period with the assistance of a University 1 Academic Advisor or an advisor in the intended faculty.

For information on entrance requirements, refer to the U1 Startbook or refer to the Faculty of Arts or the Faculty of Science's sections of the U of M General Calendar.
