How to Book a Tutor Appointment Online

Returning students please note!  The LAC's booking program, WCOnline, was upgraded. As a result, the link to WCOnline has changed to http://manitoba.mywconline.com/, please bookmark this link. In addition, all returning students will have to re-register.

New students, the LAC uses an online booking system.  You can access the system by clicking on the following link, http://manitoba.mywconline.com/ (this link is also available on our home page).  All students using the system need to register (you will need your UM student #, and a valid email address).  If you have any trouble registering or making appointments please call 480-1481.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate sesssions typically last 20-30 minutes, and may be booked for either study skills or essay writing. Some common areas that are covered include: Essay writing, exam preparation, study skills, goal setting and time management. If students would like to work on a particular paper, it is preferred that a hard copy be brought, as tutors will not work off a USB stick for security reasons. The service is free, but students are limited to two 30 minute appointments a week. It is best that appointments be made at least one week before the assignment due date.

Graduate Students

Graduate students requesting writing support should see either an LAC instructor, or one of our graduate tutors. For that reason, we ask that they call call 480-1481 or visit 201 Tier to book in person. Appointments may be made for 30 minutes or 1 hour. Graduate students wishing to meet with a learning skills specialist regarding learning and study issues may also call 480-1481 or drop by 201 Tier. Times are negotiated according to staff schedules.
