ASL/English Interpreters

Interpreters are hired as full-time or part-time staff to provide interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Applications are accepted year round.

Invigilators

Invigilators are hired as part time staff to proctor or scribe for tests/exams and to assist the test centre. Applications are accepted year round.

Computerized NoteTakers

Computerized notetakers are hired as casual staff to offer in-class computerized note-taking services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Applications are accepted year round.

Academic Assistant/Attendant

Attendants are hired as casual staff and provide students with assistance on campus, especially in the classroom. They help ensure assignments, tests and deadlines are understood by the student. In most cases, Attendants will go to class with students, meet beforehand to go over needs for upcoming class, help decipher pertinent information from lectures and discussions and often meet with students afterwards to review course notes and upcoming deadlines. Attendants will also assist with interaction between professor and the student. Applications are accepted year round.
