NOTES FOR 2013-2014 REGISTRATION AND FEE ASSESSMENT
Disclaimer: Fees are approved annually by The University of Manitoba Board of Governors. In the event of a discrepancy between the fee rates approved by the Board and those published on this website, the fee rates approved by the Board will prevail. Students will be notified of any corrections to the publication of fees on this website that result in a re-assessment of their student account.
The Board of Governors has approved a tuition fee increase on all program and ancillary fees of 1.6%. New fee rates have been posted.
Note that individual fee assessments will be available on Aurora Student at the beginning of August.
You are financially and academically responsible for all courses in which you are registered after the Revision deadline. Failure to pay for your courses will not result in a de-registration of courses in the current term. Students who fail to pay for courses will be placed on Hold and will be de-registered from any future term courses. i.e. you will be responsible for Fall Term and courses that span Fall/Winter, but will be de-registered from Winter Term courses. Failure to withdraw through normal procedures will result in a grade being assigned to all courses in which you are registered in at the end of term.
How Fees are Calculated
[Tuition + Endowment + Student Organization + Student Services Fees + Technology Fee + Other Fees]
The calculation of your tuition and other fees is initiated by registration. The calculation of tuition fees is dependent on the program in which you are enroled – per credit hour fees or program based fees. In addition to tuition fees, you may be assessed Endowment Fees and/or Student Organization Fees based on the program in which you are registered in. All students are also assessed The Technology Services Fee and Student Services Fees. Lab Fees are assessed for courses with a lab component, while courses with a Field Work component are assessed fees on a cost recovery basis for expenses related to Field Work.
