Refunds

General Information

In order to receive a refund of fees, students wishing to withdraw from courses must do so before the end of the Revision Period in each term.  You must withdraw from courses using Aurora, or with assistance from your Faculty, College or School.

2017-2018 Fall & Winter Term Refund Deadlines

Fall Term 2017 courses
Full refund: on or before September 20, 2017
No refund: September 21, 2017 and later
 
Winter Term 2018 courses
Full refund: on or before January 16, 2018
No refund: January 17, 2018 and later
 

Fall 2017/Winter 2018 spanned courses

Full refund of Fall Term fees: on or before September 20, 2017
No Refund of Fall Term fee: September 21, 2017 and later
Full refund of Winter Term fees: on or before January 16, 2018
No Refund of Winter Term fees: January 17, 2018 and later
 

Winter/Summer 2018 spanned distance & online education courses

Full refund of Winter Term fees: on or before January 16, 2018
No Refund of Winter Term fee: January 17, 2018 and later
Full refund of Summer Term fees: on or before April 17, 2018
No Refund of Summer Term fees: April 18, 2018 and later

Refund Calculation

The amount eligible for refunds is calculated based on the full cost of the course (not including field trip fees and late registration payments). Fee adjustments will first be applied to outstanding balances (including fees assessed for the next term of registration).

Non-Refundable Fees

The following fees are not refunded when you withdraw from your program or any courses in it:

  • Application for Admission
  • Admission Acceptance Deposit
  • Examination Fees
  • Field Work Fees
  • Incidental Fees
  • Late Registration Fees
  • Late Payment Fees
  • Letter of Permission Fee
  • Other Compulsory Fees
