We believe that students have the best chance for success at university when they feel supported. Parents and families can play a big role by helping to maintain a balance between supporting their students and allowing them to achieve a sense of independence.
The University of Manitoba's role is to provide information to both parents and families to assist them with achieving this balance.
The University 1 First Year Centre encourages parents, guardians, and other family members to be invested in their student's university experience. The Parent Resources website provides information to help facilitate a better understanding of the university experience so that parents, guardians, and other family members can help their student help themselves to succeed at the University of Manitoba.
