Learning beyond the classroom
Learning beyond the classroom is one part of the ‘student experience’ that is particularly exciting and we offer many programs, activities and options to fit the interests and needs of our students.

Your life as a student will be enriched by activities that take you beyond the classroom and your learning itself will be enhanced by these experiences.  You can expect to have fun, have opportunities to meet and work with new people, and perhaps even travel to exotic places.  These experiences will create lasting and priceless memories of your time at the University of Manitoba.

Student Affairs is also developing a special program that will offer students value as they move into their next stage of academic study, employment or career selection.  There are plans to offer students a chance to record all of these extra learning options through the development of a co-curricular transcript. Watch for the launch of this project!

Leadership, Service Learning, Study abroad & student exchanges, and Volunteering represent four broad areas offering learning beyond the classroom.  Explore these links to find some of the opportunities available across campus, both in Student Affairs and in faculties.  These pages will be updated regularly so keep checking this site for new information.
