REGISTER WITH YOUR EMBASSY

Upon arriving in Winnipeg and getting settled, consider contacting the embassy, consulate, or high commission for your country located in Canada.  Many governments encourage their citizens to register with their embassy, consulate, or high commission while they are living in another country.  This allows the government to contact the individual and provide assistance in the event of an emergency at home or in Canada.
