Whether it's your first time on campus, or just the first day of studies in a new program, we want you to feel comfortable and connected to your community.
During the first weeks of the academic year there are a variety of special interest and faculty-specific events that are offered to introduce you to the life and culture at
the U of M.
We hope that you will find many opportunities in which to participate and join in on the fun and spirit of being a U of M student!

Designed for new undergraduate students, these welcoming sessions provide vital academic skill-building discussions, tips for academic success, and campus tours, as well as the opportunity to meet and connect with your fellow students before classes begin. Orientation is one of the largest events on campus, involving over 6,000 students, staff and volunteers–you definitely don’t want to miss it!

Late August 2018 - Brodie Atrium
Students on the Bannatyne Campus are invited to join us for food, presentations and prizes, presented by University of Manitoba Students' Union, Health Science Graduate Students' Association, Graduate Students' Association, Recreation Services, Student Life and Services for Students at Bannatyne Campus.
The Faculty of Health Sciences Community Tour will be held in the Fall.
The International Centre offers orientation sessions to help new international students with their transition to Canada and the U of M. Learn more about the supports we offer, meet new friends, and discover more about your new home.
Sessions are offered at the start of the Fall, Winter and Spring / Summer terms.
All new graduate students are invited to attend sessions to meet fellow students, learn more about the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Graduate Students' Association, and get oriented with the U of M campus.
