There are many different careers that include the role of counselling.  And for some counselling jobs there is more than one appropriate professional or educational path.  Factors that may influence the counselling occupation you choose are: the type of organization you want to work for, your preferred length of time in school and types of issues and demographic of people that you'd like to help.
