WEDNESDAY, JAN 11: COMMUNICATION and CONFLICT: Skills to Improve your Interactions with Others and in the Workplace

In this workshop you’ll learn specific strategies and skills to communicate and address conflict in a way that may be easier for others to hear without compromising the integrity of your message. You’ll also learn about conflict styles, nonverbal communication, and gain skills to address behaviours that get in the way of connecting and communicating with others, including the four behaviours that have been empirically shown to be most damaging to communicating and building positive relationships.

WEDNESDAY, JAN 18: CANADIAN SECURITY INTELLIGENCE SERVICE Employer Information Session
3:30 - 5:00 p.m. 543-544 University Centre
Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is at the forefront of Canada's national security establishment, employing some of the country’s most intelligent and capable men and women. The Service's role is to investigate threats, analyze information and produce intelligence. It then reports to, and advises, the Government of Canada to protect the country and its citizens. Key threats include terrorism, the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, espionage, foreign interference and cyber-tampering affecting critical infrastructure. CSIS programs are proactive and pre-emptive.
We are accepting co-op and full-time applications. Students from all faculties are encouraged to attend this session CSIS will also be participating in the annual January Career Fair on January 18th.
