Occupational profile

Education

The University of Manitoba does not offer any specialized educational programs leading to a career as a Flight Attendant. Please view the links below for more information about training. Flight attendants and flight pursers require the completion of secondary school and a training program approved by Transport Canada, and usually require prior experience working with the public (National Occupational Classification). Many airline companies provide their own flight attendant training in accordance with Transport Canada and some offer pathway programs with post-secondary institutions.
