FACULTY OF SOCIAL WORK -- DISTANCE ED

What is it?

  • The distance education B.S.W. initiative is intended to target those individuals who are employed in the social services field but who may not have had the opportunity to pursue a professional social work education, due to their remote locations in the province.


Who is Eligible?

  • Applicants must meet three requirements:
    1. a minimum of two years work experience, within the last five years, in social services;
    2. residence outside the City of Winnipeg; and
    3. the Faculty of Arts admission requirements for either a regular student or a mature student status.


What Services are Provided?

  • A variety of study supports, including teleconference sessions, print-based independent study manuals, and on-site visits by instructors.
