Asper International Student Exchange Program
Students who obtain an Aboriginal Business Studies major to complement any one of the other majors (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Human Resources) will have a competitive advantage when they seek employment at an organization that works with Aboriginal communities (such as RBC, Great West Life, Manitoba Hydro, Chartered Accountants, etc.). As the Aboriginal population continues to grow in Manitoba, this competitive advantage will set you apart from other candidates. This major is open to both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal students.
Visit the Asper School of Business Direct Entry (high school applicants) or Advanced Entry (post-secondary applicants) application for admission page to learn more about admission requirements, application dates and how to apply.
What is unique about this program at the U of M?
The Aboriginal Business Studies major at the Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba is the only major of its kind in Canada. In addition, there are numerous opportunities outside the classroom for students to further develop their interest in Aboriginal business issues through the Aboriginal Business Education Partners program in Asper. Each year, the Asper School of Business honours one or more Aboriginal business leaders at the Excellence in Aboriginal Business Leadership Award dinner, giving students even further opportunity to connect with the Aboriginal business community.
