Complusory for new workers in the Microbiology Department.
Not valid for workers outside of the Fort Garry Campus Microbiology Department. Biosafety training is separate and the responsibility of EHSO - information available on Biosafety webpage.
Microbiology Department students must complete the following information
sheet (handed out at presentation): Laboratory
Safety Check List (EHSO), must be completed and returned to WHMIS
coordinator (supplied at presentation). Handed out during presentation.
If you are unable to attend the presentations, please see the WHMIS coordinator.
You must review the presentations given by EHSO, review this website,
successfully complete the quiz, and complete the laboratory safety check list.

(EHSO) WHMIS
Handbook before attending the workshop. General Safety information
pertinent to the Department of Microbiology will also be presented.
