Presented twice a year (May and October).
Complusory for new workers in the Microbiology Department.
Not valid for workers outside of the Fort Garry Campus Microbiology Department.

Microbiology Department students must complete the following information sheet (handed out at presentation): Laboratory Safety Check List (EHSO), must be completed and returned to WHMIS coordinator (supplied at presentation). Handed out during presentation.

If you are unable to attend the presentations, please see the WHMIS coordinator. You must review the presentations given by EHSO, review this website, successfully complete the quiz, and complete the laboratory safety check list.

All participants should read the University of Manitoba Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) WHMIS Handbook before attending the workshop. General Safety information pertinent to the Department of Microbiology will also be presented.
