I am an Art Historian who specializes in the European Middle Ages. My primary focus of research is on Medieval and Early Modern stained glass, and I am the Secretary of the Canadian Committee of the Corpus Vitrearum, an international organization dedicated to the scholarly study of that medium. I also have a strong interest in all aspects of Chartres Cathedral, and have increasingly been investigating the art and architecture of pilgrimage, particularly shrines dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Another area on which I have published substantially is on the phenomenon of microarchitecture.
