Description is revelation, it is not the thing described
Nor false facsimile, ... plainly visible
Yet not too closely the double of our lives
Intenser than any actual life could be
(Wallace Stevens)

In these paintings the artist explores the singular moment, mood, and tone of the west coast in images of passage through landscapes and, as the artist puts it: "the industrial sublime."

Her paintings have been exhibited in solo shows in Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe, including Quattro, a four person international show in Vienna, Austria (2000) the Florence Biennale (1999) The Grotto Cycle, California Institute of Integral Studies (2003); Industrial Romance, University of San Francisco and <SITE> Gallery, Winnipeg, YYZ, Toronto; Emily Carr Institute; Plug-In and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
