In partnership with the Manitoba Child and Youth Secretariat and the other RESOLVE partners, to undertake an examination of Innovative Programming for Children and Youth involved in Prostitution. This project consisted of three components, a legal research team, a policy team and a program team.

The Winnipeg Family Violence Court

Tracking family violence cases through the family violence court. Includes data management, data input, and data analysis. Winnipeg Family Violence Court project is continuing data collection in its ninth year. We are cleaning the 6 and 7th years and finding the missing child abuse cases from the 5th year.

Expansion of the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Family Violence Program Stony Mountain Project

Construction and modification of 5 new sessions to be added to the current family violence program being delivered at Stony Mountain Correctional Facility.

Phase II - An Evaluation of the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Family Violence Program: Stony Mountain Project

Principal Investigator: S. Perrault, Central Site Manager & Team Manager, Ma Mawi Chi Itata and J. Proulx, RESOLVE, University of Manitoba

The purpose of this proposal is to expand the existing family violence program delivered at Stony Mountain Correctional Facility from 29 sessions to 34 sessions. The extra sessions would include extension of the parenting session into two additional sessions and the addition of three sexual abuse sessions. Evaluations of these added sections and modifications based on these assessments would be conducted. Currently we are conducting a literature review and getting ethical approval for the project.

Program Evaluation for L'Entre Temps Des Franco-Manitobaines Inc.

Conduct an evaluation of the programs and services for women and children offered at L'Entre Temps, a French Canadian shelter for battered women and children.

Principal Investigators : K. Gorkoff and S. Kuropatwa, RESOLVE, University of Manitoba

The evaluation is part of a larger evaluation scheme that has three components. First, a National Evaluation of how Health Canada delivered the funding dollars to projects around the country. Second, a Provincial Evaluation which will address whether programs that were funded met the objectives of Health Canada, and finally, the project level evaluation assessed how each individual project met their outlined objectives. This evaluation is one such project level evaluation.
