The
purpose of this proposal is to expand the existing
family violence program delivered at Stony Mountain
Correctional Facility from 29 sessions to 34 sessions.
The extra sessions would include extension of the parenting
session into two additional sessions and the addition
of three sexual abuse sessions. Evaluations of these
added sections and modifications based on these assessments
would be conducted. Currently we are conducting a literature
review and getting ethical approval for the project.

The
evaluation is part of a larger evaluation scheme that
has three components. First, a National Evaluation of
how Health Canada delivered the funding dollars to projects
around the country. Second, a Provincial Evaluation which
will address whether programs that were funded met the
objectives of Health Canada, and finally, the project
level evaluation assessed how each individual project
met their outlined objectives. This evaluation is one
such project level evaluation.
