Program has been providing services to women experiencing
violence in their homes and families - specifically;
counselling, support, advocacy and education. The
evaluation was designed to determine the impact
of the program on the lives of the women who accessed
services. Through a qualitative intake form and
several subsequent interviews conducted by the
counsellor, the clients indicated short and long
term goals, and the levels of satisfaction with
the program. The evaluation stated conclusively that
participation in the program was causally connected
to women living independent of abuse, getting treatment
for issues of substance abuse, retrieving children
from apprehension and moving forward with long term
efforts towards health and independence.
