COVID-19 Instructions required for Reopening

COVID-19 mitigation Strategies and RISK Statement

As required by the University of Manitoba Office of Research Services your new application, amendment, annual approval request or request for reopening must include Standard Operating Procedures on mitigation strategies for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 for in-person visits associated with the study. Participants attending in-person visits must also be provided with a Participant Information Sheet/Summary on COVID 19 risks or have an appropriate COVID 19 Risk Statement added to the Consent Form. Approval from the Dean or when appropriate the Institutional Department Head will also be required.


We ask that you hold back on sending in any safety reports and periodic reports that are not urgent (i.e. do not require a change to protocol consent forms or study procedures). 

Annual and final reports are to be submitted as instructed on the Annual Study Status and Final Study Status reports.
