The EU-Canada Young Journalist Fellowship aims to recognize outstanding journalistic talent among young Canadians. Since 2001, three candidates have been selected every year to participate in a week-long study tour to experience the EU institutions, the Canadian Mission to the EU, and media outlets in Brussels. Winners will also attend the daily European Commission press briefing. All expenses are paid for by the European Union Delegation to Canada.

ACADEMICS WITHOUT BORDERS CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Academics Without Borders/ Universitaires sans frontières (AWB - USF) is seeking project proposals from faculty members and staff at universities in the AWB-USF network such as the University of Manitoba for capacity building projects in an institution of higher learning in the developing world. Projects could focus on health, teaching and learning methodology, academic disciplines, student services or university back office operations, that is, any area in which universities are involved. The partner institution must be an accredited, public or private, non-profit institution of higher learning in a developing country (ask for the list of eligible countries) that is willing to enter into a partnership with AWB-USF. The initiative must contribute to sustainable institutional development and have the support of the partner institution.
