The Rx&D Health Research Foundation (HRF) – Medal of Honour

The award recipient receives $20,000 to donate to the research-based, Canadian academic institution of their choice.

The Royal-Mach-Gaensslen Prize in Mental Health Research

    The award is given for publication, instruction, and research in the earth sciences that have conspicuously contributed to public understanding and appreciation of the subject. The Award is valued at $2,500CAD.

  • Flavelle Medal:
    The medal is awarded for an outstanding contribution to biological science during the preceding ten years or for significant additions to a previous outstanding contribution to biological science. The gold plated silver medal is offered every two years if there is a suitable candidate.

  • J.B. Tyrrell Historical Medal:

  • Sir John William Dawson Medal:
    To commemorate Dawson’s great versatility, the award is made for important and sustained contributions in two domains of interest to the RSC or in interdisciplinary research. The silver medal is awarded every two years if there is a suitable candidate.

  • Konrad Adenauer Research Award:
    The award honors the entire academic record to date of an internationally renowned Canadian researcher. In addition, award winners are invited to conduct a research project of their own choice in Germany in close collaboration with a specialist colleague. The prize is valued at €60,000.

Science Leadership Program – University of Toronto
The Science Leadership Program (SLP) is a workshop designed to give faculty members the tools to effectively engage policymakers, the media, decision-makers, and the general public about their research. Joined by colleagues from Canadian universities, faculty participate in a series of hands-on training sessions on communications, outreach, and leadership in showcasing research. Activities-based training sessions are delivered by experienced trainers and prominent practitioners.
