The University of Manitoba Interprofessional Education Initiative (the Initiative) values the role that students play in all aspects of interprofessional education and collaborative practice. Students are represented on the Initiative’s Working Groups (hyperlink the highlighted phrase please and link to the page with the org chart), and play a key role in all aspects of the Initiative’s work.
A variety of student organizations exist both within and outside of Manitoba. The National Health Science Students’ Association (NaHSSA) is the national body. The Manitoba Health Science Students’ Association (MaHSSA) is the Manitoba chapter of NaHSSA. Additionally there are IPE programs that fall under MaHSSA’s leadership, these include the Winnipeg Student-Run Health Clinic (WISH) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). The chart below provides a visual representation of the structure.
