Dr. Jerry Gray, speaking on “Building a Future For Upper Fort Garry”. Dr. Gray currently serves as the Chair of the Board of The Friends of Upper Fort Garry, a volunteer group whose mission is to reclaim Upper Fort Garry, one of the most historically significant sites in Western Canada and the birth place of Manitoba.
Dr. David Barnard, President and Vice-Chancellor, provided an update on
happenings at the University.

Signing In for the Reception
Enjoying a break to meet & greet old friends.
Our speaker, Dr. Peter Jones, Director of the Richardson Centre for Functional Foods & Nutraceuticals, who spoke on “Putting your Best Food Forward”.
Dr. Jones reviewed the history of food composition across the last few thousand years, which has resulted in the gradual whitening of what we consume through modern processing approaches.

Dr. Joanne Keselman, Vice-President (Academic) & Provost, provided an update on the Univeristy and reported a record enrolment this year.

Dr. Gray was Dean of the I. H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba from 1996 to 2004 and after his retirement in 2005, he became Dean Emeritus and Senior Scholar in the Asper School.

Dr. Jones serves currently as President of the Danone Institute for Nutrition in Canada and is Past-President of the Canadian Society for Nutritional Science.
