The first volume of fifteen papers presented at the Annual Conferences of the Linguistic Circle of Manitoba & North Dakota was published in in 1996, and covered articles presented from 1989 to 1993. Past Presidents Gaby Divay (UM, 1996) & Harold Smith (Minot State, 1995) were the editors, and Chandice Johnson (NDSU) the producer.

The second full-text volume contains fourteen papers presented at the Annual LCMND Meeting of 2000. In her "Foreword", Professor Constance Cartmill (UM), who was responsible for organizing the Conference in the year 2000 in Winnipeg, pointed out that many contributions in this second volume are stemming from this 2000 Conference. It departed from the previous format by introducing theme sessions about "Travel & Exploration" and "Women Writers in various literary genres." She furthermore expressed the hope that these papers will be made accessible on the Circle's permanent web site.

October 28, 2003:

With the rapid expansion of the LCMND's website, the e-publication of the further of Full-Text Proceedings is becoming a distinct possibilty

At the recent Circle's 2003 Conference, plans for an irregularly issued LCMND e-Journal were discussed, and may be implemented in the near future.
How this new venture will affect traditionally published Full-Text Volumes remains to be seen.
