"Something to Remember Me By" Legacy Project

FREE ACTIVITY KITS &: CONTEST CONNECT GENERATIONS

Build closer relationships across generations and boost family involvement in your school. The "Something to Remember Me By" Legacy Project offers K-12 activity kits throughout the year that include intergenerational activities, crafts, curriculum connections, and resource listings. The Grandparents Day Kit has a complete planning guide for a school event. The new Holiday Kit explores traditions, keepsakes, storytelling, conflict resolution (including an Intergenerational Peace Chain in response to the September 11 attacks), and more. There's also a Holiday Essay Contest. Students write about a special keepsake passed down in their family. The Grand Prize is a Lane Cedar Chest filled with handcrafted keepsakes made by older adult artisans from Geezer.com. For the free online kits and contest details visit www.somethingtoremembermeby.org, or for information call (800) 772-7765..
