CANADIAN ETHNICITY: THE POLITICS OF MEANING
Edited by T. Aoki, J. Dahlie and W. Werner.
Volume 10 Number 4.
Published by the Centre for the Study of Curriculum and Instruction of the University of British Columbia, Canadian Ethnicity: the Politics of Meaning contains a series of fourteen articles on various aspects of `the ethnic experience in Canada and its educational implications by such writers as George Ryga and Vincent D'Oyley. Though many of the articles are very readable and generally free of educational jargon, they are most definitely aimed at the university or professional level and would only be appropriate in the professional section of a school library. With the ever-increasing cultural diversity of our country, articles such as these can only help to focus our attention on and to increase our knowledge of other ethnic groups, their needs, and the necessity for a school curriculum that will accommodate them.
