Machray Hall

Machray Hall

This building, formerly called the Northeast Multi-Purpose Building, is the location of the Dean's Office, Faculty of Science, the Science Library, and office areas for the Departments of Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Applied Mathematics. The exterior is a radical departure from other science buildings, being sheathed in a rich beige color of large exposed aggregate panels in combination with bronze-tinted glass curtain walls (on the northeast elevation). It is an extremely contemporary architectural statement.

The building is named after Robert Machray, Archbishop of Rupertsland and the first Chancellor of The University of Manitoba
