Bison Men's Chorus - Steve Denby
Steve has been teaching music in the public school system since graduating from the University of Manitoba in 1989. After working for 12 years at Ecole River Heights School teaching Choir, Band and Guitar to Middle Years students, he moved to J. H. Bruns Collegiate where he continues in the same areas but also teaches Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz, Jazz Guitar, Chamber Choir and Technical Music Production.
Steve is an alumnus of the University Singers under the direction of Henry Engbrecht, and has co-directed the Central Manitoba Youth Choir. He has served as a clinician for both the Vocal Jazz and Choral events at Choralfest. This is Steve’s 9th season directing the Bison Men’s Chorus, which he plans to continue along with his wife Cary, who accompanies the Chorus.
