Current Assets

In December, 2002, we received a generous donation of a 40 cm (16") Meade LX200 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope from Judy and Jay Anderson. The donation was made on the condition that it be used for education and that it be named after Judy's father, Bruce Ewen. This telescope comes with built in computer control, perfect for a remote observatory.

The donation of the telescope prompted the purchase of a 10 1/2 foot Ash dome. Plans are in place to permanently mount the telescope in this dome and have the observatory completely remotely operable.
