For the second consecutive year the University of Manitoba jazz program, which is only two-years-old, has produced a national award winner.
Luke Sellick, 19, won the Oscar Peterson Grant for Jazz Performance, a $10,000 award given to only one Canadian jazz student every year by the Hnatyshyn Foundation.
