University of Manitoba students are working hard today to beat the Shinerama fundraising record for Western Canadian. They want to raise $50,000 and they are already at $22,000.

Today, as part of Shinerama’s “Shine Day”, students will shine shoes downtown and on the University of Manitoba campus to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research and patient care. “Shine Day” ends at 4:30 p.m. today

Shinerama is Canada’s largest university-based fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis research and care and this year marks its 49th year. This will be the 29th year the University of Manitoba participates in Shinerama.

The University of Manitoba’s Shinerama Committee is led by students from the I.H Asper School of Business.
