Winnipeg’s newest summer day camp aims to bolster the entrepreneurial spirit of children.
The Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Manitoba is hosting its annual New Venture Adventure Camp for 10-12 year olds from July 15 until July 19.
Campers will spend the week at Asper School of Business learning what it takes to be an entrepreneur. They will learn how to develop and present a business plan, learn about teamwork, basic sales techniques, marketing and break-even analysis.
The highlight of the week is the “Vendor’s of New Venture Adventure” sales competition where students sell their products at the Forks Market on July 18 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The campers are selling products they make while at camp, like greeting cards, jewellery, and picture frames.
Editors, please note that all campers have signed photo release forms.
