The Helen Glass Centre for Nursing on the Fort Garry campus will become the “Helen Glass Hospital for Sick Students” on Feb. 1, when students participate in Nightmare Night Care.

Students from the Faculties of Nursing, Medicine, and Pharmacy will play the role of patients and caregivers in a hospital setting.

The purpose of the event is to provide students with the opportunity to understand the patient experience, practice skills required for inter-disciplinary teamwork for patient-centered care, experience night shift issues and responsibilities, and practice clinical skills in a safe environment.

The students will be in their roles from 7 p.m. on Feb. 1, and finish at 8 a.m. on Feb. 2.

Visiting hours are open to the public and anyone interested in coming should go to rooms 460 and 470 of the Helen Glass building between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Feb 1.
